I visited Vietnam for the first time in 2015 for three weeks at the beginning of a three month solo backpacking trip, and I absolutely fell in love.

The cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are loud and chaotic, in the best way possible. Thousands of motorbikes passing the most delicious street food carts. However, escape the city and you’ll find incredible nature in Vietnam’s countryside. Explore the rice fields of Sapa or repel down a waterfall in Dalat. As you make your way South by bus, stop in Mui Ne to explore the famous sand dunes. And don’t forget about the colorful buildings in Hoi An.
