Siam Rice Chiang Mai: The Best Cooking Class
When planning a trip to one of Thailand’s top tourist destinations, Chiang Mai, scheduling a cooking class is a must! There are so many Chiang Mai cooking class options so the choice can feel a bit overwhelming. Look no further – Siam Rice Cookery School is easily the best cooking class in Chiang Mai! This post may sound like a sponsored post, but in reality I simply think that this Chiang Mai cooking class is one of the best that Thailand has to offer (aka I’m a bit obsessed with it)! I have taken the course three times over the past few years and have had such a fantastic experience each time! The food that I cooked in this class was by far some of the best that I had while on my trip, and really ever for that matter.
The classes are taught by the most amazing (and funniest) instructors. Make sure to ask for a funny name 😉 The class is suitable for all levels, with tons of one-on-one attention for those who need it, due to the small class sizes. Siam Rice Cookery School is conveniently located just outside out Chiang Mai’s city center, so you will not need to travel far to reach the school.
Siam Rice Chiang Mai: The Details
Siam Rice Chiang Mai offers three class options: full day, half day, and evening. All courses include hotel pick-up/drop-off, a number of dishes, and a cookbook and certificate after the completion of the course. The full day course lasts approximately 6.5 hours and costs 900 THB ($28). In the full day course you will have a chance to visit the local market before cooking seven dishes! I promise you, you do not need to eat breakfast before attending this class! The half day courses offer a similar class for 700 THB ($21), however you will only be cooking 4 dishes over the course of 4 hours. While four dishes is definitely enough to fill your stomach, I definitely recommend doing the full day course if possible!
