Tulum 2019 Group Trip: Where We Stayed
The group stayed in a boutique hotel in Tulum Center. Located in the center, we had direct access to tons of amazing restaurants, with the beach only a short drive away.
Participants shared rooms (however private rooms are always available at an additional cost).
The hotel offered a delicious breakfast and daily happy hour for poolside afternoon margaritas.
Day 1 – Welcome Tacos + Margaritas
The trip began with welcome drinks and a taco crawl in Tulum Center.
Day 2 – Coba + Cenotes + Cooking
The second day of the Tulum group trip was jam packed with adventures. We started the morning with an early trip out of the city to the Coba Mayan ruins. From ancient ruins to jungle vibes, this was the perfect way to start the day.
However, the heat quickly got to us, so it was time for a hearty meal and a visit to Choo-Ha Cenote. This cenote is located just a few minutes down the road, and it considerably less busy than those closer to Tulum.
On the way back to Tulum we stopped by the interactive art exhibit, Azulik Uh May. This incredible jungle exhibit is completely free to the public.
After a dip in the pool (and a poolside margarita), it was time to head to an evening of cooking. The group spent the evening at Lily’s home, learning all of the secrets to making the perfect taco. We even got adventurous and tried some fried grasshoppers with our mezcal tasting (yes, grasshoppers)!
Day 3 – Yoga + Beach
It wouldn’t be a trip to Mexico without a beach day. The group started the day with a beach sunrise, followed by beachfront yoga and a big breakfast with our toes in the sand. We spent the day soaking up the sun, eating well, and exploring Tulum’s trendy beach strip.
Day 4 – (More) Cenotes + Pool Time
We had to squeeze in one more cenote. The group visited the famous Gran Cenote and swam around in the turtle filled waters.
