Best Yoga Studio: The Yoga Room

This yoga studio is seriously the bomb dot com (do people still say that?)! Located right by the Steinway station, you’ll have your pick of plenty of AWESOME classes. Everything from hot vinyasa flows, aerial classes, and the booty burning barre classes – The Yoga Room has got you covered! They currently offer a 3 week New Student Special so make sure to hop on that deal! The Yoga Room is definitely one of the best places in Astoria to workout.

Best Bagels: Toast & Roast Bagels and Coffee

Looking for a classic NYC bagel? This Astoria spot has got you covered! Make sure to come early while they’re still hot and fresh! Toast & Roast is a must if you’re looking for the best places in Astoria for breakfast goodies.

Best Thai: Enthaice

I know, this is definitely a controversial choice with all of the AMAZING Thai restaurants in the neighborhood! However, with 5 trips to Thailand under my belt, I can say that Enthaice Thai is a MUST! The Pad Thai is seriously out of this world. I have to refrain every day from not ordering again.

Best Date Spot: District Saigon

The food, the decor, the ambiance, everything about this screams date night! District Saigon is truly one of the best spots in Astoria – serving up some of the best curry that I’ve ever tasted! District Saigon should definitely make it on your list of best places in Astoria to try.

Best Happy Hour Bar: Madame Marie

$5 beers/well drinks AND a free hot dog.. sign me up! Honestly, I was sold at the free hot dog, but luckily the bar’s atmosphere is just as great! This is a fun, quirky spot to head to for after work drinks.

Best Tacos: Los Portales

Think cheap, local, and delicious! Los Portales is one of the best places in Astoria if you’re looking to grab a quick bite at a very reasonable price.

Best Brunch: Queens Comfort

BYOB. You bring the booze, they’ve got the OJ. Enough said. Arrive early with a bottle (or two) of champagne in hand to beat the crowds and enjoy one of the best brunch spots in town! Worth a visit “all the way to Queens” on a Sunday.

Best Boutique Shop: Lockwood

Lockwood has not one but THREE awesome shops in Astoria specializing in home goods, paper goods, and clothing. The home goods shop is seriously one of the best places in Astoria to pick up a last minute gift, as I have been guilty of many a times.

Best Park: Socrates Sculpture Garden

Socrates Sculpture Garden is one of the best places in Astoria because it’s a park and art exhibit rolled into one! This is a great place to come watch the sunset over the water, enjoy a picnic on a summer day, or simply admire the sculptures of the moment.

Best Day Drinking: Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden

This is the perfect spot if you’ve got a big group looking to party the day (or night) away! Their large picnic tables are great for large groups – no reservations necessary. And no need to deal with splitting the bill at the end, as you can order and pay as you go!
