Paris here I come! The flights were booked, the dreams of warm chocolate croissants arrived.. but first I had to figure out was where to stay in Paris! The OKKO Hotels Paris Rueil-Malmaison location is the perfect option for anyone looking to stay close to the city without the hustle and bustle of a major city. Definitely a great hotel option for anyone visiting Paris, France! For those of you looking to stay in the city center, check out a list of the best hotels with an Eiffel Tower view.
Where to Stay in Paris: OKKO Hotels Paris Rueil-Malmaison
When you’re trying to figure out where to stay in Paris it is important to look at the many factors! For me, I love a warm welcome at a hotel because first impressions are so important! OKKO Hotels Paris does an amazing job with their complimentary glass of wine or beer on arrival. I loved enjoying my glass of wine out on the hotel’s sundeck!
One thing that I absolutely LOVED about the OKKO Hotel was that weekend check out is not until 2pm! This means that you have plenty of time to enjoy the hotel and it’s many amenities (or simply sleep in) on the day of check out! This was a definite check plus for me when trying to figure out where to stay in Paris!
The rooms have a unique, yet functional, design thanks to designer Patrick Norguet! The classic rooms are approximately 183 square feet, comfortably fitting up to two people. In each of the rooms you’ll find plenty of handy amenities including a flat screen TV, Nespresso coffee machine, safety deposit box, and the softest Italian sheets!
The hotel is located in the Rueil-Malmaison suburb, just 20 minutes by train to Paris city center. The RER train system is located directly beside the hotel, making a connection into city center super easy! A ticket from the Rueil-Malmaison station to Paris city center costs 3,80 euro. On the day that I arrived there was a strike impacting the RER rail, however alternate buses were provided.
The Club was by far my favorite part of the hotel! The Club is open to guests 24/7 and offers a variety of free snacks and beverages. As a huge tea drinker I loved that the club offered 18 different types of tea! I mean is that not a reason in itself to chose where to stay in Paris?
If the tea isn’t as enticing, then the aperitif might be more of your style. There is a daily aperitif 6:30-9:30pm where guests can socialize and enjoy a drink.
Breakfast is served daily in the Club beginning at 7am. The buffet includes a variety of pastries, fresh fruit, meats, and cheeses. You will also find a selection of coffee, tea (my favorite), soft drinks, and juices.
SAUNA & FITNESS CENTER
I love starting my day with a workout, but sometimes it is so hard when I’m on the road! On the 5th floor of the hotel you’ll find a small workout center equipped with free weights, a few machines including a treadmill and elliptical. However, if you’re legs are too tired after a long day of sightseeing you can opt for a chill out session in the sauna instead!
Taverna Travels was graciously invited to spend the night at OKKO Hotels Paris, however all opinions are of course genuine as always.
